In the experimental video ‘Meeting of Two Queens: Encuentro entre dos Reinas’, Spain, 1991, Cecilia Barriga, a Chilean video artist, recasts the beautiful old Hollywood filmstars Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich in silent film style to tell dramatic tales of lesbian desire.<\/p>\n

‘Meeting of Two Queens’, which is considered a “cult” video-film in the experimental and independent film industry, is a part of the exhibition ‘Lost and Found – Queerying the Archive’<\/a>, which I visited last week at Nikolaj, Copenhagen Centre of Contemporary Art.<\/p>\n

All lesbians will love this queer version of the old movie stories about love and passion. The exhibition ‘Lost and Found – Queerying the Archive’ is open Tues-Sunday until August 2 2009 at Nikolaj in Copenhagen, Denmark.<\/p>\n
