Curated by David Campany, the show coincides with the BP Spotlight display of Spence&#8217;s work at Tate.&#8217; <\/p>\n<h2>Jo Spence (1934 &#8211; 1992)<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jo_Spence\" target=\"_blank\">Jo Spence<\/a> was a photographer, educator, writer, organizer and broadcaster. In the early 1980s she starte on a body of photograps with herself as a model. Diagnoces with cancer, much of her work was a response to her illness and the hospital treatments.
