A Deeper Dive<\/em> takes a closer look at eight of the artists in the national touring exhibition, Art AIDS America. The national exhibition features work from over 100 artists made from the 1980s when the first cases of HIV were reported in the United States to the present, providing viewers an opportunity to engage with a breadth of artworks addressing HIV\/AIDS in a manner hitherto unimaginable. It seeks to unearth the indelible mark AIDS has left on our collective consciousness.<\/p>\n

A Deeper Dive<\/em> aims to probe more deeply into how specific artists have contributed to that collectivity through a diverse set of strategies and approaches. The works in A Deeper Dive<\/em> reflect individual difference while still evoking a strong sense of community and commonality, drawing our attention to the shared experience of the AIDS crisis that implicates us all. This exhibition will feature: Lawrence Brose, Brian Buczak, Jimmy DeSana, John Dugdale, Karen Finley<\/a>, Deborah Kass<\/a>, Glenn Ligon, Ann P. Meredith<\/a>, and Anthony Viti. Programming will be done in conjunction with the Bronx Museum, which will be exhibiting Art AIDS America<\/em> concurrently.<\/p>\n
