No Woman is an Island is an ambitious group exhibition of Australian artists that focuses on female experience through the conceptual framework of the \u2018female gaze\u2019. It features work by: Carla Adams, Jessie Adams, Emily Besser, Clara Bradley, Frances Cannon, Jessica Cochrane, Zoe Croggon, Anna Farago, Kate Just, Anthea Kemp, Stephanie Leigh, <a href=\"http:\/\/kimleutwyler.com\" target=\"_blank\">Kim Leutwyler<\/a> and Zoe Wong.<\/p>\n<p>Queer artist Kim Leutwyler\u2019s current work focuses on realist, portrait paintings of LGBTQI-identified and Queer-allied women, often women who have impacted her life in some way. Leutwyler works to reclaim the medium of portraiture from the canonical white, Western, male gaze and comment on the mutability of identity, gender and beauty within her work.<\/p>\n<p><em>[Right: Pink Hair Don&#8217;t Care.
