She studied art at the Acad\u00e9mie Julian in Paris, and exhibited at the salon of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Nationale des Beaux-Arts.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Madeleine_Zillhardt\" title=\"Madeleine Zillhardt\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Madeleine Zillhardt<\/a> (1863-1950), a fellow student at the Acad\u00e9mie Julian, became Breslau&#8217;s muse, model, confidant, and partner of over forty years. Breslau died after a long illness in 1927.
