She was a founding member of the London Group, and the life partner of British painter <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ethel_Sands\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ethel Sands (1873-1962)<\/a>. She met her life partner Ethel while studying in Paris, France. She lived and painted with Ethel Sands, dividing their time between France and England. Ethel was a socialite who frequently entertained artists and writers when they were in England.
