These works form an archive of an exploration of dyke, lesbian, and queer relationships to land, placemaking, rurality, and ecological activism. Through quilting, fragments of historical texts and archival material are drawn into intimate relationships with memory, gossip and pure lesbian feminist fantasy.<\/p>\n<h2>About Sarah-Joy Ford<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sarahjoyford.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sarah-Joy Ford<\/a> is a graduate of University of Leeds (BA Fine Art) and Manchester School of Art (MA Textile Practice and PhD, Fine Art &amp; Design). She is queer artist and independent scholar working with textiles and quilting to explore lesbian lives and herstories. Solo exhibitions include Rabbit at Bury Art Museum 2024, <em>HARE<\/em> at Bobinska Brownlee Gallery 2023 (London), <em>Looking for Lesbians<\/em> at ONE Gallery 2022 (Los Angeles), <em>Beloved<\/em> at Plas Newydd Historic House and Gardens 2022 (Llangollen) and <em>Archives and Amazons: A Quilters Guide to the Lesbian Archive<\/em> 2021 at HOME (Manchester).
