She creates site-specific, minimalist installations and often works with organic matter. She was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2003. In 2006, she was listed on the Pink Power (now Rainbow) list of 100 most influential gay and lesbian people of 2006 in the United Kingdom. She served as Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of California, San Diego, between 2008 and 2024. Her works are held in public collections including: Arts Council, London; Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney; Tate, London; and Seattle Art Museum, Seattle.<\/p>\n<p><em>[The copyright of the video
