Portraits de Survivants\u00a0: Histoire d’une d\u00e9portation\u00a0rrom\u00a0– a photography\u00a0exhibition by Ana Dumitrescu<\/em><\/p>\n The above\u00a0exhibition\u00a0by photographer Ana Dumitrescu is about the survivors of the holocaust in Romania, where Rromas (Gypsies)\u00a0was sent to the concentration camps during the Second World War.\u00a0 The show runs February 8 – 25, 2011 in Paris. ‘Portraits de Survivants\u00a0: Histoire d’une d\u00e9portation\u00a0rrom’\u00a0opens: Some of the photos of this exhibition is available at her website as the series titled ‘Holocauste Rrom’<\/p>\n

\nAna Dumitrescu is Franco-Romanian photographer and lesbian\u00a0based in Paris, France. She works with documentary photography and has made assignments for magazins and photography agencies.\u00a0 She focuses on marginalization of the less popular groupes of people in the Europe and makes black and white portraits of people belonging to marginalized communities such as the Gypsies. Her works also\u00a0include series about\u00a0African contract workers fighting for their rights\u00a0in France and homosexuals in Romania.<\/p>\nRelated Links<\/h2>\n
