\"Photo‘Difficult Love’ is a highly personal take on the challenges facing Black lesbians in South Africa today emerges through the life, work, friends and associates of ‘visual activist’ and internationally celebrated photographer, Zanele Muholi.<\/p>\n

Difficult love will be screened as a part of the CinemAfrica film festival in Stockholm, Sweden March 23-28, 2011.<\/p>\n

Talks with Zanele Muholi, Elisabet Ohlson Wallin and Ulrika Westerlund<\/h2>\n

Four\u00a0talks planed, two with RFSL (the Swedish national LGBTQ organization) at two different venues and two after regular screenings at the festival. All talks are organized by RFSL:<\/p>\n

\nFriday March 25, 18:00 screening of ‘Difficult Love’ at the Stockholm cinema Victoria and talk after the screening of the film with Zanele Muholi and Ulrika Westerlund, spokeswoman of RFSL.
\nSaturday March 26, 11:00 screening at Bio Rio and talk with Zanele Muholi after the screening.
\nSunday March 27, 14.00 screening at Moderna Museet and talk with Zanele Muholi after the screening of Difficult Love.<\/p>\n

Queer photographer Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin<\/h2>\n

Swedish photographer and lesbian Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin<\/a>\u00a0is active in the LGBT-community in Sweden.\u00a0 She has been to South Africa a\u00a0few years ago,\u00a0where she made the photos for her exhibition Via Dolorosa<\/em>\u00a0about the\u00a0African hiv\/aids epidemic.\u00a0Elisabeth has lost several of her dear Swedish friends to aids in the 1990s. Her works are queer and\u00a0political.\u00a0In her works\u00a0– huge color photos –\u00a0she\u00a0explores\u00a0subjects such as homosexuality, Christian values, homophobia, gender and taboos, which are live and vibrant in the Swedish society today.<\/p>\n
