If you are in Alberta watch out for poster and artworks\u00a0with radical queer messages in the streets.<\/p>\n<p>The postering project has presented works by the following queer women &#8211; Karen Campos (Edmonton), Megan Morman and Cindy Baker (Saskatoon), Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan (Winnipeg) and Anthea Black (Calgary) with a special postcard edition by Carol Maxwell (Texas). And if you submit your designs could perhaps be the next artist to be chosen for production of a poster!<\/p>\n<h2>Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places: CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS &#8211; queer public space takeover postering wank-out!!!<\/h2>\n<p>Queer artists and activists are invited to send submissions of 2-3 colour silkscreen poster designs in the following formats:<br \/>\nSIZE: any dimensions up to 17 X 22 (cut outs and tiled designs welcome)<br \/>\nIMAGE + PREP: images should be high contrast (linear drawings, text, shapes) separated into transparency layers for each of the planned colours.<br \/>\nTHEMES: &#8220;looking for love in all the wrong places&#8221; could refer to anti-queer bashing, queer public safety, public sex, lesbionage, raucous public displays of radical queer affection, outdoor meeting spaces for networking + organizing, queertopias, gentrification + failed gayborhoodz, your city&#8217;s mass queer exodus or seeking partners&#8230;in crime!<\/p>\n<p>For more details about how to submit your poster designs visit the &#8220;Looking for love in all the wrong places&#8221; webpage or send an email to <a href=\"mailto:hello@lookingforloveinallthewrongplaces.ca\">hello@lookingforloveinallthewrongplaces.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You may think that I am referring to my personal life, but I am not. &#8220;Looking for love in all the wrong places&#8221; is a postering project\/networking project for queer artists to collaborate, takeover and discuss safe spaces for queers in Alberta, Canada\u00a0and beyond.
