Her complex pieces assemble an emotive, if oblique archive that attempts to bridge the artist’s personal experience with the public domain. Her work has been screened and exhibited in galleries and museums internationally including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berlin and Sydney. Her most recent exhibition at the gallery, “An Archive of Feelings,” was reviewed in Artforum and The San Francisco Guardian. Carland’s photographic work has been published in the Prague-based Fotograf Magazine and she is currently editing the upcoming issue of Capricious Magazine.”

Related Links

Post at Feminine Moments about Tammy Rae Carland’s solo show An Archive of Feelings
Tammy Rae Carland’s page at Silverman
Tammy Rae Carland’s online portfolio
Tammy Rae Carland at California College of The Arts

Tammy Rae Carland – Istanbul Biennial
Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, Istanbul, Turkey
September 17, 2011 – November 13, 2011

[22
371
post-5906","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-photography","tag-tammy-rae-carland
["GET
