Zanele Muholi is the first title of this collection. Born in Durban (South Africa) in 1972, Muholi is a visual activist who endeavours to give greater visibility to the black lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community of Africa. Although her perspective is highly radical and provocative, it is simultaneously filtered through a truly intense, lucid and profoundly tender gaze.<\/p>\n
