\nQueer photographer Zanele Muholi is nominated for the Rencontres d’Arles Discovery Award and she exhibiting at the festival in Arles, France, from July 2 to September 23, 2012. Zanele Muholi’s exhibition\u00a0at Arles\u00a0is a visual exploration of ‘making \/ mapping \/ preserving radical black lesbian and queer \u00a0(LGBTI : lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex) visual history in post-Apartheid South Africa’.<\/p>\n

Her work can also be seen on t\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate, curated by Mickalene Thomas, at Yancey Richardson Gallery, New York July 12 – 31 August 31; and on Appropriated Landscapes at the Walther Collection, Neu-Ulm\/Burlafingen, Germany until May 2013. And her series Faces and Phases<\/em>, \u00a0her astonishing portraits \u2013 a wall of 60 large-scale lesbian and transgender subjects from several African countries are on display at\u00a0dOCUMENTA 13 in Kassel Germany this summer.<\/p>\n
