Each with a different vision, Vincent Fournier presents an astonishing robotic universe, Doroth\u00e9e Smith offers a poignant take on gender identity, Olivier Metzger meditates on the passage of time, Gr\u00e9goire Alexandre displays his playful take on the world of fashion, and Aurore Valade presents her intimate, baroque portraits.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>French photographer and avant-garde filmmaker\u00a0Doroth\u00e9e Smith\u00a0has told\u00a0Feminine Moments that you can see her series <em>Hear us marching up slowly<\/em>,2012, at the above mentioned exhibition &#8220;Arles: a French School&#8221; \/ &#8220;Croisements&#8221; in Beijing, China. The exhibition is organized\u00a0in collaboration with the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie of Arles. June 14 &#8211; September 1, 2013 you can see\u00a0Doroth\u00e9e&#8217;s series <em>Hear us marching up slowly<\/em> at the first festival of photography, Portrait(s)\u00a0in Vichy, France.<\/p>\n<h2>About Doroth\u00e9e Smith<\/h2>\n<p>Her career has included a post-graduate degree in Philosophy at the Sorbonne, a degree from the French \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure de la photographie (ENSP), the TAIK in Helsinki and then at Le Fresnoy, France. Her work can be seen as an observation of constructions, deconstructions, displacements, and transformations of identity.\u00a0Her work has been exhibited at, amongst other places, Les Filles du Calvaire, Paris; Ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Eau, Toulouse; Atelier de Visu, Marseille; and Casino, Luxembourg \u2013 as well as at photography festivals such as Photo Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Pingyao, China and the Daegu Biennale, South Korea, and Les Rencontres d\u2019Arles in 2012. Doroth\u00e9e Smith is a member of the \u2018L\u2019\u00c9vad\u00e9e\u2019 collective and the Hans Lucas Studio de Cr\u00e9ation. Her work is represented by the gallery Les Filles du Calvaire, Paris.
