Pink And Bent: Art Of Queer Women

Queer Bent And Pink screendump

‘Pink And Bent: Art Of Queer Women’- slideshow, by Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation gallery and www.glbtq.com

Pink and Bent: Art of Queer Women is an exhibition, which was first mounted at the Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation gallery in New York City between May 21 and June 28, 2008.  It was curated by Pilar Gallego and Cora Lambert, who selected work by both established and emerging artists with an eye toward conveying the experience of being a queer woman through art, which can ‘describe visually what is too complicated’  to convey through language alone.

I invite you to visit the online documentation of this show, which is available on glbtq.org (the encyclopedia gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and queer culture), where you can see a slideshow (58 slides) presenting the work of 24 of the queer artists, who participated in the show.
