Stockholm is celebrating their pride festival from July 27 – August 2, 2009. If you are in Stockholm this summer – take the opportunity to go and see some lesbian art exhibitions at the Pride House, which is based in the City Theatre and Kulturen’s premises, Sergels Torg 3, Stockholm. The exhibitions are open July 28 – Friday August 1, 12:00 – 18:00.
Ylva-Maria Thompson is displaying 100 casted cunts in her exhibition ‘Grönslösa kroppar’ (Bodies without boundaries). Cecilia Bivald is exhibiting paintings in mixed technique and collages with inspiration from the everyday sins in her exhibition ‘Stand up Straight’, and you can also see drawings by Malin Mattsson and Hanna Gustavsson, who are sharing the space with everyday art in the form of kitchy and colourful photos by Emily Brandon-Cox.
The Stockholm Pride 2009 has an extraordinary programme this year with a mix of workshops, politics, art, talks and ideas at Pride House.
