Feminine Moments' newsletter

October 2015

Edited by Birthe Havmoeller

Dear Reader

Happy autumn! I am back today with a series of small pieces from the top of the international iceberg of Queer Feminist Art. It is a very rich part of the iceberg which I have found this month. Artists and art institutions are embracing Youtube and Vimeo, documenting more and more of their activities and artist talks. I hope that you'll enjoy the videos of artist talks with Zanele Muholi, Lebo Mashifane, Shelly Stefan, Carrier Moyer and Deborah Kass and the lectures by Nancy Princenthal and Alexandra Foradas. All the video links are inluded below.

Killjoy's Kastle: A Lesbian Haunted House by Allyson Mitchell (Canada) is in California now, emitting lesbian vibes. The opening is today. I send a happy Halloween to all queer feminist art lovers in California. I hope you'll have a great opening party! November 9 - 21 London is celebrating the 8th GFEST.
