Feminine Moments' newsletter - August 2020 issue #2

Edited by Birthe Havmoeller

Dear Reader,

I was ahead of myself last month and definately ahead of time, sharing the July newsletter as the "August 2020" issue, so this is the August 2020 issue #2. I guess this is me subconciously aiming to get away from and beyond covid... as fast as possible. The second wave of covid has just happened here in my part of Denmark. No lockdown this time just the nuisance of having to wear a protective face mask in trains and busses during a late summer heath wave and the inevitable cancellation of the Aarhus Festuge, a week long local festival of arts and culture.

This month I am happy to introduce you to Francesca Alaimo, an italian artist based in London. See her artist's statement (below) and a fine series of her rough/tough images. (Thanks, Francesca).

I also want to tell you that it is last chance(!) to see the online exhibition Painting Lives: portraits by Sarah Jane Moon. The exhibition is accompanied by a FREE catalogue.
