Queer, Feminist and Gender political art initiatives in the Nordic & Baltic Countries.
Seminar & Debate hosted by members NBQAN – Nordic & Baltic Queer Art Network

With the NBQAN we want to make it possible for individuals, institutions and organizations who work with queer, feminist and gender political art to meet and establish a Scandinavian & Baltic context for their activities. At the seminar members from the network will show excerpts from their work and explain how they produce and present their work in their local cultural context and how it relates to other Nordic and Baltic countries. After the presentation there will be a debate about issue based art: where, how and why it is produced ? – and also if and why it should be shown in a larger context such as theatre & performance festivals, art exhibitions and general cultural programming ?
