Queer portraits at the Smithsonian

The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in USA announces that ‘Hide/Seek’ – Difference and desire in American portraiture is the first museum exhibition to focus on sexual difference in the making of modern American portraiture. I send my congratulations to queer photographer Cass Bird, who are among the fortunate few female contemporary artists presented at this rare exhibition. The exhibition opened October 30 and runs through February 13 2010.
