About Kim Anno

Visual artist/activist Kim Anno makes paintings, photography and video and artists’ books. Her work: Men and Women in Water Cities is work in progress. It sym­bol­iz­es her own par­tic­i­pa­tion in the larger picture of climate change. Currently, she is Professor of Art at California College of Arts. In 2011 she took her art to the COP17, the United Nations Cli­mate Change Con­ven­tion in Dur­ban in South Africa, and took part in the conference as a neutral observer and representative of California College of Arts.
She has made several lesbian/queer projects, taken part in lgbtq panels and is included in Harmony Hammond’s book Lesbian Art in America – A Contemporary History, (Rizzoli, 2000).
