“33 st mf” is a handmade artist’s book about the artist’s home, a studio flat. The title refers to the address. It features photographs of furniture and small things, sun light and shades, and reflections in windows. It is a photography book with no text; a poetic work about the space in which the Birthe Havmøller works.
About Birthe Havmøller
Danish artist Birthe Havmøller (b. 1962) is a member of KUFA and KKArt. She is a visual artist and queer feminist art blogger. Birthe lives and works in the municipality of Aarhus, Denmark. Photography is her preferred artistic medium. She says:
I have been working with fine art photography since the late 1980s. Classic black-and-white photography is the core of my artistic expression. I make poetic photo series. I gravitate towards long-term art projects. The enigmatic has a permanent place in my circle of motifs. “33 st mf” is my first physical Artist’s Book. Alongside my creative practice as a photo-based artist, I work as a queer feminist art activist, editing my international art blog and resource site, Feminine Moments – Queer Feminist Art Worldwide. Here I share pieces of news about queer feminist art, the artists and their projects, from around the world.
