Queer Feminist Art Worldwide

Feminine Moments (2003-2026) presents fine art made by lesbian, bisexual and queer women artists worldwide. Visual artist Birthe Havmoeller, Denmark, edits this Art Blog and queer feminist art visibility project.

American artist Sheila Pepe says:

“An artist is always political simply by the nature of the job. And that doesn’t mean that the work looks political or is overtly political but by the choices the artists make it is inherently political, so every material choice, every genre choice, every size choice or medium, it says something about the historical canon that already exists.”

Open Call – 2026

All women artists and art writers who identify as lesbians, bisexual or queer women are welcome to submit artist statements, artworks, links, videos and press releases for publication at Feminine Moments.
