Coming to Power

“Coming to Power” (co-curated by Pati Hertling and Julie Tolentino, September 9 – October 16, 2016 at Maccarone, New York) is a restaging of an exhibition originally presented at the David Zwirner Gallery in SoHo in 1993. The original show was organized and curated by Ellen Cantor and selected a group of some of the icons of Feminist art from the past fifty years.

James Kalm: ‘Though concentrating on the erotic, pornographic and queer, this display provides a broad cross section of mediums, modes and conceptual approaches many harkening back to the 1960s-70s, the initial heydays of the Feminist Movement.’
