How Zoe Walsh Alters Archival Imagery

Video (1:21): A short video where Zoe Walsh takes us into their creative process altering queer archival imagery.

About Zoe Walsh

Zoe Walsh (b. 1989; Washington, D.C.) is an American artist. Their technicolor paintings vibrate between formal abstraction and figurative landscape. Often rooted in Los Angeles’ local sites, spots, and stages, Zoe’s work features figures dispersed among vibrant shocks of color and layered fields of pigment. Their practice is based in research, as the artist consults queer archives and appropriates queer imagery into their compositions.
