About the Queer Feminist Artists

Edith Hammar (b. 1992) is a Finish Swedish artist and illustrator living in Gothenborg, Sweden. In 2017, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in fine art from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. In 2020, they debuted with their first book the graphic novel Homo Line. Now they are also creating artworks and have taken their drawings to Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nicole Eisenman (b. 1965) is a French American artist celebrated for her figurative works paintings, sculptures and murals that blend humour and narrative elements to explore gender and familial roles. She attended the Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with a B.F.A in painting in 1987. Her works of art are widely exhibited internationally. Between 2003 and 2009, where she taught at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson. She is currently living in Brooklyn, New York.
