Catherine Opie discusses how she teaches ‘New Topographics’ (photographs of a Man-Altered Landscape). Catherine loves photography’s ability to convey history and time. She appreciate the subtlety in many of the works with in this genre of landscape photography and poses the question: What is self-representation in relationship to being queer?
