SD Holman’s Book and Art Project: ‘Butch’ (2018)
Video (13:21): Canadian artist SD Holman self-identifies as “butch,” a label that they and others in their community have reclaimed. Their inspiring story has challenged traditional definitions of masculinity and femininity in surprising ways. BUTCH: not like the other girls encompasses a hundred subjects and thousands of images, of which 20 were formatted for 47”x 86” public transit shelter project and 22 more were formatted for gallery exhibition, size 20”x24”.
The Book
