WE HAVE A BODY – A SOLO EXHIBITION BY METTE WINCKELMANN
December 3rd 2011 – January 29th 2012, Den Frie Center of Contemporary Art, Copenhagen, Denmark.

In dialogue with Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art’s architecture, the Danish visual artist and queer woman Mette Winckelmann focuses on tradition, body, gender and queer theory in her recent solo exhibition WE HAVE A BODY.

Mette Winckelmann talks about her solo exhibition in an interview with The Aesthetica magazine. You can read the interview Mette Winckelmann | We Have A Body | Den Frie Centre for Contemporary Art | Copenhagen at the Aesthetica Blog.

I took a few photos, when I visited the exhibition a couple of weeks ago. A series of installation views are available at Mette Winckelmann’s website. The exhibition featured paintings, installations, textiles collages and objects.
