From The State Museum exhibition “Picturing a More Perfect Union: Violet Oakley’s Mural Studies for the Pennsylvania Senate Chamber, 1911-1919.” On May 21, 1955, Violet Oakley returned to the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building to tour her murals in the Governor’s Reception Room, the Supreme Court, and the Senate Chamber.
