I have finally come around to making a group on Facebook for lesbian and queer artists and lovers of contemporary art made by out lesbian artists and queer women.
The Rencontres de Bamako, African photography biennial, in Mali 2009 featured a rising generation of South African photographers and video artists. Queer photographer Zanele Muholi was one of them. Now her photographs can be seen at a group exhibition in Holland.

California LGBT Arts Alliance – Networking Parties and Meetings
The California LGBT Arts Alliance and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center will host the first annual networking cocktail party/meeting of Southern California LGBT artists, arts organizations and supporters on Tuesday May 18, 2010. The Alliance will hold a similar networking event in San Francisco at the South of Market Cultural Center on Saturday, June 5th. All are welcome to these FREE events.
The Lesben Früelings Treffen or just ‘LFT’ is the annual German lesbian festival of politics and culture. Apart from the workshops, talks and events (of which there are 120!), the German lesbians and their foreign friends will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the LFT arts exhibition.
The Guerrila Girls have turned 25 and they are still going strong and they are busier than ever now that the art world, which they have spent their whole life attacking suddenly embraces them.
